Perkins A3.152 Thrust washers & crank end play

I've got a 35 diesel I'm in the process of installing a new short block. The old engine ate up the crank and block due to a previous rebuild apparently done without one set of thrust washers. So I got a new short block and it has 0.025 or 0.026" of crankshaft end play. It's it ok? I can't seem to find a spec for end play for the A3 in the MF 35 service manual, but the AD3 version specifies a max of 0.015 inch. Are they the same? I can get 0.010 oversize thrust washers but that's still going to leave it at 0.015 to 0.016 unless that's .010 each side. Any help is appreciated.

Thank you so much. Looks like the .0075 oversize washers are each .0075 over so that should reduce end play by .015 inch.

I just went through something similar with a gas Perkins. Took the crank to machine shop, needed to be ground down .020. After it was there i got a call saying Thrust shoulders were out of spec,. Ok build them up and set it up right. Got it back and crank wouldn't fit in the #4 journal with standard thrust washers. Did some research and discovered the width is smaller for a lip seal block compared to a rope seal. They set the spec for a lip seal. Had to take it back and have the #4 crank journal opened back up. I will say, when i checked the end play on tear down, it seemed excessive. Didn't measure it as i was getting crank reconditioned anyway. They opened the crank journal back up with no additional charge so no harm no foul.
I believe the charge for fixing the thrust area on the crank was 95 bucks originally. I may have been able to put the thicker thrust washers in but now its done right. Just fyi, a new crank was around 350 bucks and getting mine reconditioned was a little more but who knows the quality level of a crank made who knows where for 350 bucks plus shipping.
