Put the 530 on the grinder again

I put the 530 on the grinder/mixer on Sunday to check out how it runs after the new injector and timing adjustments. Runs much better now with lots less smoke and more power. Still has a very minor miss at certain rpms with no load, I'm hoping that will work out with use. Sure runs good at idle and under load and the flutter is almost undetectable. If anyone has any ideas I'm all ears. I had it timed at the 8 deg that it should be when it was smoking and missing more, now it's close to 10deg and it seems much better. Here is a video of it under load, sure smokes a lot less now and has quite a bit more power too.

Jon, I think the reason that you have to advance the timing from 8 is that your advance is not working properly in the injection pump, there is a tool that consists of a plastic window with degree markings on it so you can watch the advance work which you put on in place of the timing window plate. In my career, many times I have advanced pump timing to overcome a high rpm white smoke missing condition till a pump repair was made. I believe the pressure that advances the pistons in the advance area of the pump on the bottom is made by the transfer pump, and if it is low the advance does not move. Just an educated guess, but I would think that at a minimum you should have 25 at least running timing, maybe DT can help us out here.
