I have a 1944 2N that I did an Awesome Henry flathead V8 conversion. I liked it but it didn't have enough gears so I bought a 1950 8N with a Sherman combination transmission. Saturday I swapped the engines between the two but I have run into a bit of a problem. The throttle/governor hookup. Has anyone hooked up the 8N governor to a 2N throttle? With the V8 conversion I had to modify the throttle in the 2N to get push/pull. I THINK I can just make a longer bent rod to connect the two and make it work? I am adding a photo so you can see what I have to work with on the dash end. (Also a photo of the V8 2N just after it was built and the 8N when I got it). The 8N I am going to leave "Patina" for now. It's not rusty and I can always blow it apart and paint it later but I think the look will be different than what I had. I need to get the 2N finished and sold while it looks nice, I can't keep both.
