Source for New Idea 400 hay rake bearing

Greetings from Colorado. I bought an old New idea 400 hay rake. We got everything working except it needs new tine bearings for the five bars. There is another YT post that talks about possible sources of the bearings but it never actually states who has these bearings. Many people gave ideas about people to call and websites to check. None of these worked out from my web search and as far as I can tell from the posts. Shoup has a similar bearing for a New Idea 402 and up, but i bought one and it has a smaller outer diameter. There are a couple of overseas websites that list the part but the websites do not appear to work.

Pressing the bearing off does not work, because the top of the bolt assembly is rounded over the bearing and would have to be ground off. In other words, the shaft would be rendered useless. We wanted to check with the YT Community before we tried to find a stand-alone bearing into which we could press a bolt and then place a collar on the bolt. FYI, I pressed the bearing off after grinding off the top, and the bolt and threaded rod/bolt are machined as one piece.

I am hoping there is someone out there with a tried and true NI 400 who has found a definite source for this part.

Brand- New Idea
Model- 400
Part #-OEM 618 MEA
Part # on bearing- 6586 BCA

Thanks in advance for your help.

Thank for posting that link, Tramway Guy. That is the string to which I was referring in my OP. After five or six pages, there is no clear resolution or definitive source for the bearings. Many great suggestions though. I am working on one possible source for the actual 400 bearing and will post something if it pans out.

I'm also considering using the more common, readily available, smaller diameter bearing (for a New Idea 402 and up). Shoup and others have these (see images). This would require a sleeve to be made and a wider retaining clip. Will keep you posted.
