Hello, I'm in the process of restoring my mf220 backhoe and while I have it apart for paint, I was gonna go ahead and change these rotation bearings since these are the originals dating 50years at least. So figured they are due, the bearings actually arnt loose but they are pretty stiff to turn by hand. But I just figured if I want another "50years" of use out of it I better change them cuz I will not be taking this back apart this far down. Anyway these lock nuts on the bottom bearing is where I'm hung up.
Has anyone taken these off before and have some pointers to aid me in the removal?
Or a special socket that will fit this?
Or am I gonna have to go with my idea of making a special tool?
The 4x4 locknut sockets autoparts stores is only 2 1/2" diameter, this locknut is 3 inch or 75mm.
Pic#2- part 32 on manual page is what I'm working on...
