Suitcase weights

I have been antique tractor pulling for many years now, I now have to give it up due to an illness. Is there any interest in the weights that I have or is it better to just sell them for scrap? I have 6 - 100# IH , 4 - 88# Ford and 13 - 85# Tayfyco weights. I'm located in Lancaster PA.

Around here ( Ontario Canada) those IH wieghts would bring $2/pound. Fords probably $1/pound. What the heck is a Tayfco??

Thank you for the information on those weights. I'm just trying to figure out if it's worth trying to sell them or scrap them.

Nope, they pretty much have what they need. I guess I'll just scrap them.

I would think an ad on Craigslist or someplace similar would net more cash than scrap price. YMMV.

Put a for sale sign on them and bring them to some pulls, they are worth double to triple scrap price at least. I’ve not seen any sell on auctions for less than a dollar a pound

I have done that and posted them for sale at a large tractor event that I attend. Seems like nobody wants them.

Where is your location? If close I'll come take them all for more than scrap price. Any weights will bring $1 per pound on the open market, some more if they are rare. If you scrap them you'll get around 3 cents a pound at the current market. Doesn't make any sense at all to scrap them.

List them in this website, surely someone will buy them if you price them reasonable. If you scrap them you'll be getting pennies on the dollar.

I know I told you $1 per pound, and they should bring that much, but I don't know if you can sell them all for one money like that. In other words, the people that would have a use for the IH weights probably wouldn't have a use for the Ford weights or the others you have, and the people wanting the Ford weights probably wouldn't want any of the others.
