Super C front tricycle rims

I had the front tires off my Super C to have new tires put on. This is the first time I have had them off since I got it, 17 years ago. I noticed the mounting lugs are different styles. I just wondered if this is the way they are supposed to be or the last owner changed one out. The longer I owned this tractor, I came to the conclusion that it was wrecked down the entire right side. I do know that the space between the tires at the bottom is no more than an inch or 1 1/2.

These are original, like the one at the bottom of your picture. There are 4 ways to mount them to the centers to get more space between them if you like. Mine are set close but not the closest and it turns really easy.

Yes, one original, one aftermarket.

You can change the spacing of the tires in 2" increments through combinations of mounting them inside or outside of the hubs, flipping them over, and swapping them from side to side. There is no distinct advantage in this day and age; any difference in steering effort or stability is small. Just pick what you think looks best.

Thanks for that information. I prefer to have the valve cores on the outside, where I can get to them easier. Since I also antique tractor pull with it, I have 2 45# wheel weights bolted to each wheel. I have never had a problem with the tires touching except when one has low air pressure. The new tires should solve that.
