Super major running rich and on 2 cylinders

Hi,

Was using my Super major on the weekend and it was becoming quite fumey. I did notice that it also took alot more cranking to start than usual, this tractor only just had an overhauled engine and cylinder head installed and has done approx 20 hours of work since. It idles rough also, when i cracked No3 and No4 injector lines, fuel is coming out but makes no difference to the performance of the engine but if i crack either No1 or No2 injector line the engine almost shuts off. I don't think its an injector issues and the exhaust burns my eyes i assume from unburnt diesel but could be wrong, I'm thinking possible valve issue or clearances are out? has been running fine up until this event. Any suggstions?

Are you sure you are getting an adequate fuel supply to your injection pump. Fuel valve screen/ good clean filter, good steady flow to the low pressure pump/ low pressure lift pump working properly, pumping a good strong stream. Also make sure your shut off lever is moving fully forward, the cables have been known to slip in the clamp. Check your oil bathe air cleaner, make sure it hasn't filled with water, that the screen filtration material isn't matted with oil/dirt.
