UPS is closing local centers and going to automation for sorting TV said.

Now, however, UPS says it plans to cut back on the number of packages it delivers for Amazon. It’s a pretty major shift for UPS since Amazon—which is its largest customer—makes up more than 10 percent of its total business.

“Amazon is our largest customer, but it’s not our most profitable customer,” UPS chief executive Carol Tomé said last month on a call with analysts. “Its margin is very dilutive to the U.S. domestic business.”
It’s my understanding that Amazon pays crap rates. Around here USPS delivers most of the Amazon packages and according to my mailman they loose money on every package that comes through our post office.
