Time to let my tractor parts go, can't take them with me

I retired 20 years ago.
5 years ago I build a second pole barn for a New Kubota.
That also gave me a place to put all the good stuff I had in 3 garages and throw away the junk.
Some junk went to the recyclers. Some went to the landfill.
We can't take it with us and I didn't want to leave my kids a mess to clean up.
George has been here at 82 years of age I look around and ask myself what in the world will my wife and grandkids do with all this stuff, but don,t need the money so just keep buying and selling

Hi Stan, I retired in 2019 after 50 years with Burroughs/Unisys in Canada.
Where did you work?

Jim
I worked at the Carlsbad California printed board factory. All that was made, was circuit boards for the Burroughs computers. Then computor chips were invented not needing so many circuit boards. I worked in the maintenance dept. Stan

I'm facing kinda the same thing. Except my thing is old cars and pickups. I have a buyer for a few old cars and pickups, but I've been hanging onto them because I have two sons that like old vehicles. I'm never going to do anything with most of them. I'm in my 50s and i realize that I'll never get to do anything with them. I had a talk with my sons and while there are a few that they'd like to have, they have their own projects that, even in their 20s, they're not sure if they will ever finish them. I'm thinking that I should just let them go to someone who will make something of them. I just hate seeing them go, but on the other hand, they are just rotting away sitting here. They they will probably get a new owner soon.
NDIHC: There doesn't happen to be any '30, or '31 GM cars out there (Chev, Pont, Buick, Olds) that has a driver's door window trim still on it? I need one little piece. steve

Hi Stan, I never worked in Carlsbad plant but did FPT in Proctor Plant, City of Industry, Mission Viejo plant, did some training in El Monte and FPT and training in several plants in the Paoli, PA area, Tredy, Downingtown and Devon. Had a good career but last 5 years was more difficult as the MBAs took over.

No, nothing like that. Can't think of any in the area either. I had a 34 Studebaker. 34 Plymouth, a pair of 37 Buicks, a Model A, a bunch of model Ts and sold all of them along with some others. Still have a few others around but no early 30s GM. I know a guy who had an early 30s Buick almost 40 years ago but I don't know if he still has it. If I come across anything I'll let you know.

I am going through the same thing. I have stuff that was my dads, and even granddads. I gotta start letting some of it go. I have sold about $10,000 worth of stuff on Facebook market place. Getting ready to sell my little D-2 Cat. Hate to see it go, but I "can't take it with me" I am 70, and had a kidney transplant 34 years ago. Still plugging, but sure slowing down.
