My toaster serves a two fold task-- when i flip My eggs for over easy i put the toast down -- when toaster pops the eggs are over-easy '--thats My story and I from where I speak !! My 54 for added pleasure !

Hunt on eBay for a Sunbeam T-20. Made in the 1950's. Don't go for the newer version made up into the 1970's.

Bingo! And they have a cult following. I've accumulated 2 and my son has one. A virtual engineering marvel. I think I spent most of a day with one apart learning how they work. Power down and power up with no electricity!

The toaster is the tool that gets me going some mornings. My beef is why can't they make a toaster that will make toast in less than 5 or ten minutes. "I've bought a lot of them over the years and they all seem to be painfully slow. I can't believe that restaurants use a toaster that takes that long. That's my rant for today!!

It's not the cost of the toaster that's the problem. It's getting the electric company to run the 440V 3 phase to your kitchen that costs so much.

My toaster is fast and even . . . it will also ensure that you are awake and paying attention - with a burn (thermal or electrical). Sadly no pop-up or auto shut-off.

We have had a Breville toaster oven going on probably twelve years. Wife has it set for 4:45. I do mine for 4:00.
