Hi guys. Hoping anyone could help identify this model of Vermeer Trencher Backhoe for me with possible date of manufacture. Looking to get it going again but would love to find a manual or some tips for the controls before I start tinkering. Cannot find a model number on the trencher itself or ID tag. Hoping someone has seen one like this before. Best guess is possible mid 80s.

Apologies. Have a few posts a while back but hardly get on here. Definitely a valuable informational site though

The need to have a certain number of posts on record was removed a couple years ago.

Size is usually the reason photos won't load now. Some picture formats are not accepted; jpg s usually load easiest. Size limit is about 7mb total per post. Many phone cameras take larger photos than that, so you have to reduce them in size.

Have you talked with a Vermeer dealer?

Thanks Jim. I have not reached out to anyone yet other than here. Took pics this week, so they are probably larger than the requirement unfortunately. Was hoping the links would be clickable urls to the photos since the attachments wouldn’t upload

Perfect. Here’s to hoping someone has seen one like it. Even good old google can’t seem to locate the exact model

2.36 Liters converts to 144 cubic inches, which was the displacement of the diesel engine used in the 601 series and 4 cylinder 2000 series tractors. They used that engine in Ford tractors from 1957-1964, but they continued to sell the engine as an Industrial engine to third party manufacturers for a number of years after that. The 172 cubic inch version that was used in the larger 801 and 4000 series tractors was more popular with the third party equipment manufacturers.

Unfortunately Pics are not showing up. Will continue trying or can email or text anyone interested...
A common mistake is your photos are too big.
This site only allows photos up to a certain size, ie megabytes and most digital cameras and cell phones take photos that are Much Bigger than that.
If uploading from your phone go to Google Play and install a little app called "Photo Resizer HD"
It's free and doesn’t track all your stuff or spam you like so many 'free' apps do.
If you want a one time, temporary work around just to get the photos of this trencher on here go to Craigslist and create a for sale ad and upload the photos of the trencher you want us to see.
Craigslist automatically reduces the size of photos.
Once your ad is online, download your photos from the ad - then delete the ad. The downloaded photos will be smaller and youll be able to upload them here.

For those having trouble seeing
