and also if your cutting hay with it no swather can beat a haybine. alfalfa cuts easy though. also pickup reels help a lot on a swather. but in ripe grain they zing right through the crop like a singer sewing machine.

If it's anything like the Owatonna belt drive swathers, steering takes skill and finesse. Sneeze, and you're going around in a circle.

My grandfather had an Owatonna swather and my Dad was the only one who could keep it driving straight. Everyone else was doing donuts.
