vinegar to clean radiators

I see Tractor Supply is selling 30 percent vinegar in their stores. Does it seem like it would better to clean a radiator with than the 5% from the kitchen or is there a risk in putting that strong an acid into a radiator. Anyone tried using it?

I would guess it would want to be diluted with water by about half or close to that. And probably not ran in it for to long then drained and flushed.

well at least with 30 percent a person might have a fighting chance of it doing something. 5 percent is a total waste of vinegar and money. and back to olds problem he dont even specify what percent he uses but be sure is not filling the rad with straight vinegar. and this 30 percent stuff if it was diluted 50 percent with water might do a minuet of good. when the cores are plugged it takes a lot stronger stuff than vinegar so no need to worry what vinegar will do.

Walmart has the 30% too. Think it was over by the paint section in the aisle by where all the glue is. Might also have in over in the cleaning supplies aisle in the food section. White gallon jug with green label.

The 5% works pretty good in a SS syrup evaporator for loosening up 6 weeks of what sticks in the corners of your pans. You have to let it sit a few days. I have some 30% to try this coming season, I bet you don't want to splash it in your eye.

beware of 30%. I used it straight and next day everything it touched was rusty, I ended up pulling the core and it was still plugged. Maybe 10% would be better. Im a bit worried what it did inside the block
