WD45 belt and water pump question

Hi guys. Had the fan belt snap yesterday. Have a new replacement belt that"s the same width and length with kevlar reinforcement from TSC. Hope it"ll work OK.
I read some older posts about having to replace the lower radiator hose. Pain in the butt.
The fan spins very freely. Just wondering if there should be some resistance from the water pump, or if it"s supposed to spin easily.

Replacing the lower hose should be no big deal- the hose can flex enough to remove/install. Crack the gasket sealer loose all around with a screwdriver, kink the hose and remove. Make sure to install the clamps in a way that they can easily be reached with a screwdriver or nutdriver.

Thanks for the reply. Just wondering...do you use a sealant of some kind when installing hoses?

Hoses will seal themselves with the collar, no need of sealant

yes fan is supposed to spin freely with no belt installed
