A very rare tractor, built in England during the late 1940's as a light farm and horticultural tractor and powered by a single cylinder Dorman diesel engine. They were not a success, my first employer had the agency for them and when I joined in the late 1950's, we still had one in stock. The diesel had proved unreliable and they had removed it and replaced it with a Ford 10 hp car engine and gearbox. A saw bench was built onto the rear and it was used to cut up waste wood for the works heating boiler. With the addition of the Ford gearbox in front of the original Newman one, it gave the tractor a wide range of speeds, when put in both reverse gears, you could get off, go and have a cup of tea and when you got back the tractor would have moved a couple of yards forward, but when both top gears were selected, it would do nearly 40 mph. We trainees were instructed that under no circumstances were we to use that gear but, off course, we did. Very scary with limited brakes.
