Thank you for this diagram. It helped a lot now I need to know where the plug wires go to the distributor.

Going from memory here so I could be mistaken. With #1 at TDC on the compression stroke the rotor should be pointing to the #1 spark plug. OP manual should explain it.

Is the distributor in the engine or do you need to install it first? I ask as it is possible that the wires may need to be in some other location than is shown in a picture or drawing, if the distributor was not installed in the right location. You may need to locate where the #1 wire goes by finding TDC of the compression stroke of #1 cylinder.
