Who supplies a good governor for an 8N?

Need to replace the governor on an 8n. Customer says the governor is only 2 years old and it is worn to where the balls won't stay in position anymore. It looks like soft metal didn't stand up to it's intended job. We don't know where this governor came from but want to avoid the same problem again. Anyone know where or where not to order a complete governor?

What's the "rest of the story"?

Unless this is a REALLY odd unit from "The Land of Almost Right" the parts in contact with the governor balls are STEEL.

If the travel of the governor weights isn't set up properly the balls can move too far out and and contact and wear the aluminum governor housing, is that what you are referring to?

The steel separator is egged out and peened over where the balls contact it and also the center hole on it and the cone are sloppy so they don't sit straight with the shaft. The balls fall out of their slots as soon as you try to install the governor. Just looks like poor quality materials from somewhere overseas. Way too much wear for 100 hrs. use.
