Wiring on A Ford 2000 Select o Speed

I am wanting to know about the switch inside the transmission. When you put it in park and start it, is that switch in the transmission a grounding switch. I would love to have a wiring picture on how that all works. Thanks for looking

Is it a 4 cylinder 2000 or a 3 cylinder 2000? On the 4 cylinder 2000, I believe that it completes the circuit to ground, with the push button starter switch being between the solenoid, which is always hot, and the park safety switch. If it is a 3 cylinder 2000, then the park safety switch completes the circuit between the key switch and the hot side of the solenoid, with the case of the solenoid being grounded.
