Mine was a 1991 Continental town car.

Early brake failure, window lift motors issues, tbi issues. Eve the head liner failed to stay up.

First year with the 4.6 liter ohv engine. The transmission was not that great either.

Even the Michelin tires wore out way faster then any other vehicle I have ever owened,

1970 Volvo. purchased in 1971 with 21,000 miles. Drove it until 1974 while attending Ohio State. The entire exhaust system rusted out. Then the shaft on the spider gears in the rear snapped where the retaining pin went through it. Right before graduation the oil pressure light came on permanently with 70,000 miles.

Had one of those too. Only mechanical Issue was a rotted muffler. But it had to be the most underpowered vehicle ever. I think my 65 bug had more power

I haven't had many cars, nearly all trucks and the worst was a '97 Chevy K3500 DRW. For the most part it was an ok truck, had a few stupid issues like a leaking heater core and whatnot along the way, but the main issue and the reason I will never buy anything GM again is the clutch. The clutch hydraulics was failing early on (under warranty), failure to release. There was never any clutch slipping and I drove many manual transmission vehicles so it wasn't anything I did. Master cylinder and slave cylinder replacements and all would be fine for a few months then failure to release again. Note that the clutch was not changed as it was always fine.

At any rate GM/Chev/Dealer never managed to resolve the issue despite it being under warranty, thus no more GM ever for me. I went to Ford and have been very happy with both my 2009 and now 2016 F350 DRWs as well as the small amount of warranty service on them which included a torque converter failure at ~30k which was promptly fixed under warranty and no further issues now going on 160k.

40 H.P. more or less. Worked on one many moos ago. Bad head on one side, and metal shavings on the other side. It did run for many years after that. My early days of engine rebuilding, early 70's?

I feel your pain! Those hydraulic clutch systems were barely adequate at best. Why such a small hydraulic actuating cylinder? Probably a bigger reservoir would nave not hurt either,

1978 Dodge D150. 318 with a three speed. Bought it brand new in February of 1978.
I've owned 23 vehicles over the years and that POS gave more trouble than all the others together.
Very poor assembly quality. Missing body parts, missing transmission brace. Clutch linkage fell apart about 6 months in while driving down the road. Carburetor was never assembled correctly, made it nearly impossible to start when it was hot. And on and on, could only put 22,000 miles on it in three years because of all the downtime. Was so glad to get rid of it.

46 years and haven't bought another Dodge since.

1972 Datsun 620 pickup ,to many issues to bore you with !
Never did figure out why in winter the crankcase would fill with gasoline, have to change the oil every two weeks

2001 Dodge Dakota quad cab pickup. Bought brand new. Had paint issues that I didn't notice until after I got it home. The power steering reservoir was cracked because some gorilla at the factory cranked a bolt too tight. The 4wd switch went out within 6 months. The interior was made out of real cheap plastic that cracked and the seat fabric started ripping after only a couple years. Drank gas like a lush at a wedding. Overall just a piece of crap. Had it for 5 years and dumped it. Will never own another Chrysler product.

84 Ford Taurus - first year production. It was a 4 cylinder, 4 door, manual transmission car which wasn't real common and it was nothing but a problem. Fuel pump went at 18,000 miles. After two years all four doors were rusted through at the door handles only. At 98,000 miles had all kinds of transmission problems the dealer couldn't figure out - had to have a Ford rep find the problem. Had a ton of other problems every few thousand miles and it 135,000 miles one day driving it to work something snapped in the front end, couldn't hardly steer it to get home and I said I had enough. I had to junk it.

I had a 64 Rambler that did that. It was a bad diaphragm in the fuel pump.

1988 Renault Medallion
Talking about a Renault. My buddy had one back in the 60's. Electric auto transmission? I can tell you this , the only way that thing would shift gears, was to let off the throttle, then put the throttle down again. More like an automatic clutch! 😀

A Saab 99E , clutch went , carburettor would never hold a setting, wheel bearings needed changing as frequently as the oil , brake master cylinder made of chocolate .
Ignition switch was in-between the front seats , perfect for collecting grit and wearing out , steering wheel lock seized, seat belt mount threads were incorrectly cut so that the inertia reel box came loose . The 2 litre 4 cylinder engine used more fuel than a 4 litre six . No one would work on it , probably for obvious reasons . Sent me broke as a young man , made me think that Sweeden was the source of all of the world's evils at the time .

Chrysler Sebring. After 100,000 the transmission was bearly transmitting, the engine had no compression on one cylinder, and all the tires were done. There was nothing left to save. The sad thing was I wanted an American car and later found the car parts were made in Mexico and assembled in Canada.

Saab made a 3 cylinder two stroke engine that was a joke.
3 sets of coils and points. Had the pleasure to work on one.

Never came back after the tune up, 😀

1973 Chevy luv. Between the PO and I we repaired everything on that truck and I only owned it for a year. I'm sure I didn't put 3500 miles on it in that year and it was supposed to be my daily driver for 25 mile daily commute. I finally got it fixed well enough to make it through a good long test drive and down the road it went...I did tell the new owner "good luck" Oh by the way it was only six years old at the time....
