Zetor 6211 No 3PL Lift But Power Steering Works

Hey everyone, I've got a 6211 I've been repeatedly tinkering with but having no luck.

There is no hydraulic pressure to the 3PL ram. Power steering works fine. There is oil getting back there but no oil is coming from the high pressure hose leading to the ram. I was running the tractor for a number of months after the high pressure hose burst. Hoping the hydraulic pump isn't damaged. Does anyone know how to prime the 3PL ram on the 6211? Really frustrating problem. I am assuming it is pressurised by the hydraulic pump at the front left side? If anyone can point me in the right direction that would really help. Seems like it is just needing to be primed but I have no idea how to do it. Tried parking it up and down hill with no luck. Maybe I should change out all the oil?

Thanks everyone. Can provide more information at your request.

Had that model where I work, we used it for snow removal. lost hyd on it one year replaced filter, no go, took it inside for a few days to see if water had got in system and froze, still nothing. finally loosened the hydraulic line coming from the pump got some air, foamy oil, and then some oil tightened the line back up and the three point worked like it should after that.

Thanks for taking the time to reply Handyman. Are you talking about the lines right at the pump at the front left of the tractor? Or the lines underneath the seat? I may try loosening the line coming from the pump again today and see if I have any luck. Here are a couple photos to help illustrate things:

Photo 1, Centre: lines above hydraulic pump which I assume were the ones that solved the issue for you?

I probably should know more about the tractor I own. I'm not too bad with engines, but just a bit lost with this hydraulic issue. The 6211 has just the 1 pump right? Sorry for the trouble, I just have a fence to build and need the hydraulics working!

right at the pump, it seems to lose its prime and needs to be bled once in a while.

Should never need to reprime the pump aslong as you have sufficient oil in the backend. Are you sure you haven't moved the PTO selector lever to neutral by mistake? The positions are Pump Only, Pump + PTO, Neutral & Ground Speed. Does the PTO work? Power steering has a separate pump & reservoir - separate system altogehter

Thanks Pycoed. I have a bad feeling the pump may have been wrecked due to being run dry for so long. Pto definitely working. Thanks for clarifying about the power steering being a separate system, I just started realising that when I saw the lines only lead to the power steering ram.
The backend is filled via the dipstick hole in the drivers floor, correct? There is definitely enough oil in there. Honestly at a loss with this. Hopefully won't have to open it up but I've tried everything I can think of. Best I could get was a tiny bit of oil to spit out the outlet leading to the ram when moving the height lever on the right. Only other thought I had was maybe I could reverse bleed it through the high pressure outlet using an external pump. If that doesn't work I assume the pump must be toasted? Thanks so much for your reply.

I don't think the 12 series i.e. your 6211 is much different from the 10 series which I have (7045) but I know there was a change of power steering systems at the end of the 12 series. If you have a ram running from under the left floor behind the battery parallell to the engine, then it is the same as mine & definitely a completely separate system - it's power assisted steering rather than full power steering. Pump for this is on the front of the engine with a tank up near the rad.
If you connect a pipe to one of the spools & set the control lever (the inner one) to pump (i.e.backwards) you should get oil shooting out at full pressure (easy way to drain the oil into containers!) If not then you'll need to check the pump further.
Hydraulic pump is inside under the backend, you'll need to drop all the backend oil (about 70l - 14 galls) & theres a plate with the pump on & screen underneath you can drop - it doesn't look too difficult (never done it myself). If you are lucky it's just muck in the screen, but the pumps are not too expensive. Have a look on Zetorworld .com - there's lots of good info there.
