I have a chance to pick up this 72 IH 1210 for about 1,600. Found it on Craigslist. The claim is that it has 47,000 original miles, is a daily driver and that the sellers are the 2nd owner. New rear tires, brake lines and full tune up. The truck is about 2 1/2 hours away. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

It is worth that IMO. Have you seen it up close yet? If your plans are to fix it up some parts can still be had for those. Does it have the 345 or 392 in it? Open the hood to see if the hood hinge where it mounts to the inner fenders are in good shape. You fcan order patches for those out of a place in Ohio.
Good luck.
