I am new to working on this tractor and have a question. I don't seem to be getting fuel in the bowl of the carb or to the cylinders. I have fuel going into the carb at the fuel strainer assembly, but when I turn the bowl drain I don't get anything to come out? Is there anything that I can do without removing the carb to possibly correct this issue? And I assume that the gravity feed is enough to get fuel to the bowl? I also cranked the engine over with full choke to see if I could get fuel to the bowl, but that did not work either...Any and all help will be greatly appreciated..

The fuel inlet on the carb has a wire mesh filter unless it has been removed which is highly likely. Start there and let us
know what you find.

Reread your post, not sure if you have cleaned the screen at the carb inlet. If so try dropping the bowl and spraying the needle valve with carb cleaner, you may just have a stuck needle valve.

Ok, will do...To remove the bowl, I just unscrew the big bolt at the bottom of the bowl, and it will let loose? Anything to watch for when removing or assembling? And can I clean the needle seat after removing the cap with the screen and spraying down towards the needle?

Make absolutely sure you are turning the bowl nut the correct direction, very easy to muck up those threads. Yes, you should
be able to flush with carb cleaner from the inlet and from underneath the bowl. You may have to tap the bowl with the handle
end of a screw driver to get it to come loose.

Well removed the bowl of the carb and found the float stuck and some rust in the bowl, cleaned out and put back together. Now I have fuel coming into the bowl, as I opened the drain valve and fuel came out. However, now i need a gasket for the strainer cover, as there was not much of a gasket on there and it leaks fuel from around the strainer cover... Will try to find a gasket or if anyone knows of a good place to get one. After I get the gasket, I should be ready to try to start it up.

@NoDakInMN Thanks for the referral. But I think I am going to try to clean up the metal surface real good and see if I can get the current gasket to make a seal, if not I will order one up.

Its been about a year since it was running, any tips on getting it to fire?
