Ford 7700 hydraulic lever sticks

I was cutting hay with my ford the other day using new idea 5209. When I used my hydraulics to lower the mower the lever would
stick in I think float mode and could here it change sound in the pump area. Shut tractor off and then could pull level back to
home/middle position.
Any Ideas why this would stick or stay in forward/float position? I do have a multi port diverter on it as well if that makes a

One thing that comes to mind is linkage between the lever and the valve. Make sure it isnt bent and/or binding. and see it is lubricated. It is actually supposed to stay in float when you push it that far, but if the lever is contacting the console, it could be stopping right at the threshold between float and lower, hence the pump noise. Adjust the linkage to move the lever from contacting console.
