G carburetor

Had a carb guy put in a kit, so the carb is nicely cleaned up. When i took the carb off, the spacer was to the front side of the carb-toward the radiator, but looking at the manual, it is toward the back side. What is correct? Does it matter? Thanks in advance for any advice. Rand

The thick gasket goes on the manifold side. Ron MN

You must have a flat head on that G. Shouldnt matter

Check your throttle rod length.
