Hay, did the later MD's have live hydraulics off the timing gears, i didn't think so?

Yes they did just like all the later Super series.

Ok, but the early SuperMD didn't have it, that's weird!

There is a serial break early were like Stage 1 Super H belly pump battery under the tank. Jim

No, First used on regular IH production was SMD serial 28181. Some still bought with belly pump after that but used the other chassis changes for a stage two tractor. Six series tractors could get the engine driven pump before the super W6 or WD6.
