Oil pan pinholes

I'm restoring a Farmall M and discovered it has about 6 pin holes in a small region of the oil pan. Did some research and found out this is fairly common. In fact, some of the pans I have seen online show corrosion in this same region. What is the recommended method to repair? At what point do you call it a lost cause?

You could braze them,but for the cost I would just find another pan. There are lots of them local,(there are Ms everywhere.) you
just have to ask around and someone will have one.

Here is a method that I used with success on the restoration of our our IHC Farmall B N >> the oil pan replacement was dinged badly So I set to with a heating torch and hammers. In the process even though I took all the care I could muster, the metal ruptured. So once I had all the metal in palace to the desired shape, I soldered over the area of the rupture and smoothed it as well as I could. THEN taking high heat type J.B. weld I laid a thickish layer several thin layers, letting complete drying between, and then did the same o the inside over the solder. Then set to work smoothing both sides [ to a lesser extent on the inside as compared to the out side. >>> The result; so far no leaks have emerged. I have used the tractor in both winter and summer conditions here in South West Ontario Canada over the past 5 years. I anticipate no leaks in the future, either [ Make certain to follow all instructions on the package including per cleaning thoroughly with either de greaser and or reducer several times before working on the pan.]

If it has six holes you can see there is probably a hundred more which are in the making. I would be inclined to remove the pan and thoroughly wash and degrease it and coat it with a fuel tank liner. The liner would plug the existing holes while prevent further
rusting.

If a can't good used pan can't be found at a decent price I would solder over the entire pitted area.

Would have to be cleaned up VERY well, but would be a permanent "non-plastic" repair.
