Picked up an SO the other day. Been sitting in a salvage yard for years. Told me he brought it up from Florida.

Once I get fenders on it, Im not sure I will easily get on and off because it is so narrow.

Hoping with the downward exhaust the motor wont be too bad but we'll see. I will take pictures and keep you guys up to date as work slowly progresses. I plan on having it running to bring to the mid-Iowa power show in early august. It wont be restored but should be running. The tires on it are a little big but barely work.

Looks like a challenge but doable, you'll have something special when your done. Certainly want to hear and see how the restore goes. Have fun!

The tires even look good. That's half the battle. Should be a fun project.

Eric. in your opinion, would an SC radiator fit an SO? CM

Yep. Radiator looks the same. Seat, brakes, throttle and rear hubs are different as far as I can tell. Ill take pictures as I work on it.

Agree on them being narrow. I can not get comfortable on mine. I am over 6 which doesnt help. Also have a problem with my feet getting stuck between the fender and the top bolt on the rear end housing. Otherwise it is a fun little tractor to drive. 1949 model.
