One of these is for sale locally, not sure of the price, it has a loader on it. Other than the specs seen on Tractor Date (like a 4 cylinder diesel, tractor made in Germany, about 6000 pounds, etc), I can't find a whole lot about them. Anyone help out here? I wonder what parts availability is like, dependability, good things, bad things, etc?

Hi CH, there were several 624s D-206 Neuss equivalent to IH Doncaster 584 an occasional 724 D-239 Neuss engine equivalent to 684 and my cousins had an 824 D-246 Neuss engine equivalent to 784 in our area of eastern Ontario. As IIRC they were not marketed in Canada for very long, just to fill the gap from 40 HP B414 to the 60 HP Diesel until the IH Doncaster 454,464,474.574,674 were available to compete against the MF 35, 55, 65, 75 Diesels.
One of my Dad's friends had a 624 for many years with the Agriomatic S transmission and he really liked it as he had a bad left leg and the Agriomatic S provided a Hi/Lo power shift in each gear and power shuttle in Rev.

See link below for IH Neuss German Tractors and also this link about 824 on RPM:

Thanks for the info and the links, etc, lots of stuff there. I emailed a fellow in our club who is an IH guy, he said he knows very little about those German-built IH's and said he had never seen one out in these parts. Well, I know there is at least one .... ha! Photo below that I took in a dark shed, an old fellow has it for sale and we're trying to determine what it might be worth at a fair price, it was running last winter when he was moving snow apparently.
