I notice that apostrophes and emojis wont appear in the text. I seen other wired symbols appear at times also.
Not really a problem. Others who regularly read understand.
Just wondering why.

Do not know if you have this post set to alert you of a reply but essentially the issue is addressed by YT support in this thread. Interesting they did not feel the need to give you a reply.

Some are intentionally removed because of the problems we have with unicode characters on phones but others, like emojis are intentionally removed if posted on Modern and transferred to classic. This latter reason is because of the complaints we had from Classic view users who insisted they didn't want any modern stuff appearing in the posts. Just text and photos is all they wanted to see.

That attitude as probably changed dramatically as it is a different world than it was in the early 2000s when people had so much trouble with the changes the world was undergoing with the internet becoming a normal part of life. For that one, it certainly could use another look.

For the first problem though, I can say from first hand experience, trying to support modern character sets when having to support classic, has been a multi-year nightmare. I've never been able to get it working so both sides can handle the greatly expanded character sets phones have brought into the picture. Even now I have no solution other than what you see.

Yep, it was a landslide of "no quotes, emojis or formatting".

I should have mentioned that the edit on modern view ignores this and puts most of that into classic anyway. That was written 2021 instead of 2007 Wink
