I have a Massey 65 with the Multipower transmission and it needs at the very least a new Multipower pump and clutch pack. I'm considering just replacing the Multipower tranny with a standard 6 speed. There's a salvage Massey 50 with 6 speed tranny available nearby, I haven't looked at it but am wondering if the 50 and 65 used the same transmission and if it would fit the 65? Thanks in advance for any info.

I can't retreive the information but it may be still in the archives.

There was a modification consisting of drilling 3 holes thru the multi-power clutch pack
and put graded bolts thru the holes in corder to lock the cluthes discs to the
drum. I had a neighbour who did that modification and used his tractor for years
without troubles.

It cost time to split the tractor and 3 graded bolts no need to change the transmission

Good luck

After using a 65 with the MP and comparing it to my ford 800 without anything like that, I'd fix the MP! Makes the tractor one heck of a lot more useful. If $$$ is the issue, follow Barts idea I guess. I wouldn't be trying to use a 50 tranny.
