I have a 14-15 Dearborn sickle bar mower and am looking for the following parts.
guards (140470)
knife sections (142713) or (142668) 6 foot
ledger plates (142570)
lever nut that holds the bar in travel position
cap - flywheel bearing housing (142619)

or whatever fits -- thanks

Most any farm and home store will have most if not all of those parts. Guards and section are pretty much of one of say 5 different types

Probably easier to find if you look for Ford 501 sickle parts. Guards, ledger plates, knives are the same as dearborn.

Thanks for the reply, I am restoring an 8N & mower combo and want to have everything OEM as possible. I have a half dozen of these 'other' guards and none match up. They bolt up OK but the distance between the mounting surface and the ledger plate are considerably different as noted in the photo. I actually have tried mowing with these other guards but they just don'y cut good. And the real issue as a parade tractor, they just stick out like a sore thumb, they are considerably thicker through the middle section than the OEM versions. They even mound up at a slight angle perhaps one degree and point downwards making it a real poor fit.

Check the photo and thanks for your replies.
