Ideal trailer for tractor and plow

I have some what of an idea of what trailer I need for a DC-4 and 3bottom Centennial Trailer plow. Dc 10' and plow is 9' Any thoughts fellows? CM

How much weight is on the DC? Tricyle or standard? OAW of the DC? Bumper hitch or goose neck trailer?

DC-4 is 6000# Going to be Gooseneck. running 2019 Duramax 2500 CM

I have a 20' Doolittle 10K bumper pull type and I can haul my DC-3 and 3 bottom Centinneal on it no problem behind a 3/4 ton truck. But the advantage I have with a 20' trailer is NF and can nose the front beside the plow with it at the front of the trailer. I have plenty of room with the D and plow, but I don't know how much shorter the D is compared to a DC-4

I use a 35 + 5, deck over triple axle with 21k capacity, pull it with a Duramax 1 ton dually. Rides good, hardly know it behind you. Tandem dual wheeled trailers have tendency to jerk a truck around on the pavement joints, this one don't.
The 35' deck let's position pretty much what I want to get the weight right. I have issues getting a 5 bottom over the hump, where the deck ends and beaver tail begins, but have used some thinner steel plate to slide the 4th bottom over it. Generally I just move the tractor alone, it's about 12-13,000 depending on how much front weight I have on it.
I personally think that an overkill trailer is better to have than one that just makes it. You can always load small stuff on a big trailer, but you can't load big stuff on a small trailer.

You will have problems getting that load distributed on a trailer unless it is a long one. As you know you want around 70% (look it up) on the trailer, and most likely you will want your tractor in front. This will give you probably around 50-50 on a 24 foot trailer, which would not likely handle well. In order to make it work you could plan on loading the plow separately on the front, or, pull up onto the trailer, unhook the plow, then back the tractor up as far as you can.

Mine is a 20 foot with a 7 foot deck that hydraulically raises and lowers. I can haul two tractors on it.

22' minimum, 24 much better

This is my DC4 and 2 bottom plow on a 20' trailer, it works ,but is a squeeze and a chore to chain down.

I have a 27' hyd tilt Corn Pro goose neck has a wireless remote. Just drive your rig on. Can tilt it when you get there. Then let it down from the tractor seat. Unload just as easy. O it's a 15000 gvw. Single wheels. 14 ply tires.

I forgot to say I haul a 9 ft. JD Gator behind the D 17. Room to walk in front of the front weight bracket of D17. A 6.5 person can walk under the gooseneck. Can turn with tailgate down. And has a hyd jack.

What type of drivers licence do you have for that? When I took my CDL test any pickup and trailer was limited with class B licence to grose weight trailer and load was 10.000#. This was 30 years ago so have they changed things.
