Looks like the pin is broken as iy does not reach the steering sector. Are they pressed in? |

I'm not sure how hard the dowel pin is, I wonder, could a person drill and tap a hole in it, then pull it out with a slide hammer with a matching ''stud'' attached to it?
I suggest cross-posting this down lower on the Forum page, in the John Deere-specific Forum, likely someone there will have better info than I!

Yes. The old partial pin needs removing and to install the new one. |
