Have to remove the head off our Massey Harris 444 gas tractor.
Does anyone have an idea of what the approximate weight of the head is ?
Want to make sure I have the proper stuff to do it properly.
Many thanks for any healp you can give me.

I use rocker stand bolts and a spreader bar made of box tubing with an eyelet. Lift straight off with cherry picker. I move the engines whole that way as well, but it works for just picking off the head and gently setting back on.

Thank you for your replies. They were a great help to me.
Looking at the head on the tractor it is quite massive. It is one of the thickest heads that I have worked on.
Unfortunatly the tractor is is a field where I am not able to use my engine hoist etc.
Once again, Many Tanks !
