I have a leak in the hydrostat system on my John Deere 5460 forage harvester. It is separate from the hydraulic system. I have it narrowed down to the attenuator that is mounted under the cab floor. The hoses o rings to the attenuator are not leaking, and I think the attenuator itself has a failure. Has anyone ever replaced one and how did you access it? Thanks Cliff

I have got the attenuator out of the John Deere 5460 forage harvester. It can out the bottom after removing the auger box. it was tight but wiggled it out. You don't
need to remove the cab, platform and fuel tank after all like the JD service tech said. Now my question has anyone ever bypassed this attenuator with another hose that
goes from the hydrostatic drive motor to the outlet where the attenuator connects to the hydrostatics drive pump? thanks Cliff
