I am installing piston rings.. Service manual says to look for a dot or a marking top to install rings right side up. Rings that I have are not marked at all. Can anyone help in determining which side is up.

As a rule rings not marked are ok either direction, BUT, inspect the rings carefully on the inner and outer ring edges. Rings with a bevel or cut on the inside edge go inside edge uo, if the is a groove cut on one side of the outer ring that would go down.
