Hello, I am new to Olivers and looking to pick up a super 88 for my collection. I am currently looking at one online that is advertised as a row crop 88. But there is a catch the frame seems to be a super 88. It has the four bolts in the front with the flat casting and the beefier frame with the mounts on the side. It also has 15.5x38 rubber on the rears which I have read were only an option on super 88's. The serial number is blurry but appears to be "124849 C88C". it also has the Super 88 open side curtains. The hydraulics also appear to be the the earlier style. It has levers but not on the top of the unit like others I have seen. They are shorter and on the sides of the unit. Is it possible that the very tail end of the regular 88's have the super 88 frame and sheet metal, or the inverse and this an early Super 88? Or the third option am I looking at an amalgamation of parts? I would like any input on what this could actually be.

Most likely that sometime in the last 70 years the frame broke and they replaced it with a Super frame. If the
serial tag is down on the right side of the transmission housing above the brake cover, it's not even a late 88,
it's early.

Also check for disc brakes vs drums. If its drum brakes, it is a
Fleetline 88.

And axle diameter is 2-3/4 on Fleetline, vs 2-7/8 on supers.
