Massey harris 444 carb problems

Rebuilt carb on Massey harris 444. Has been running great for a while then all of a sudden quit running and cant get it to run now. Tore carb apart a couple times and found nothing wrong inside. Noticed a crack by stud on manifold. Would this crack cause it to quit running like it did and not start back up?

Welcome to the Forums.

To post pictures look down the page a bit from the box where you type a reply, and you will see a bar that says ''Upload Photos/Videos''. Below that is a button that says ''Choose Files''. Click on that button to go to your device where you can search the files in your device (computer, tablet, phone) to find the picture you want post, select your picture, then click the ''Open'' button and the program will upload that picture to your post. There is a size limit of about 7 MB of pictures/video per post (not per thread). That can be one picture or the total of several pictures in a post. This is the same in Modern and Classic views.

That small Crack should not matter.....have you got good fuel flow to the
carb? Take the line off, fuel should run freely. If not, check line and tank
for blockage. Got a good blue spark at the plugs? Sudden quitting like you
describe sounds morelike an ignition issue. Check out a few basics and let
us know.

Have good fuel flow. Going to the carb. Ive taken off the feed line from the tank and seen. And has good spark. Like I said it was running great then all of a sudden shut off and now wont fire back up. Have noticed when I take the rubber intake boot off, theres gas in it the rubber boot
