Kinda looks like a Howse. Central Tractor Farm & Family branded them back then as well.

Howse, I had one for about 30 years and used it every year and then sold it for twice what I paid for it.

Since the Howse brand was mentioned I've seen quite a few of them on Craigslist. DO you think a 32 hp Jubilee would power a 5 foot one adequately? Could it even handle a 6 foot cut? Thanks.

It looks to be in good shape and well designed, it doesn't matter too much what brand it is, most of the parts are generic, and readily available. When we
bought our Bush Hog (brand) I thought we were buying the Cadilac of brush cutters, But it's a poorly designed PO$!

5 foot is perfect for a Jubilee. 6 foot is better suited to a 40-45 hp tractor in my experience.

That is a 5ft Howse. Good cutters I've had one since the late 1980s. I cut about 10-15 acres twice a year. All parts are original. I always make sure gearbox is full and grease the U-joints with each use. It has got a few cracks I had to weld/patch up. But that is most likely from hitting stuff or backing over good sized saplings.

And Jubilee will handle that easy. I've been using a 9N.
