My grandfather is having to do some repairs on his 3930 and is having trouble getting the timing correct. Can anyone tell me how we can get this thing timed in correctly so we can get it running again.

Thanks!

Valve timing or pump timing? What was done so far?

He couldn't get the fuel injector timed right. He decided last night to have a guy from the dealership come out and look at it.

Thank you though!!

If it's just the pump then the scribe line on the pump mounting ear is to be set at '0' to 1/2 an index mark clockwise from zero on the engine adapter plate, unless the pump was set at another location from the factory. This is also assuming that it's a non-emissioned engine prior to 1997.
