We have a 2470 with a pulling problems... To cut a long story short We fixed a noisy powershift this winter... Now the unit is in the field it shifts though all ranges & powershifts .. but when under load we loose traction ( as if the clutch is slipping) Ok it seems to be only in sum ranges.. ie in range 1 & all powershifts its fine... in range 2 powershit 1 it slips but in range 2 powershift 2 it pulls like a buger but try going in powershift 3 it slips...
Please Help

I can't offer any specific advice other than don't use that tractor until you get that power shift straightened out. It sounds like one of your clutch packs isn't right. Do you have a manual and some pressure gauges to check the pressures?

There are a couple of guys on this forum who have offered me good advice when I was asking about our 2870. Maybe they will respond to your post. Also, you should do some searching around in this forum. I'm pretty sure there was once a thread about clutch packs and pressures, etc.

Good Day,
JP.
