Here are few unrelated items on fraud, misuse, and spam as related to the classified photo ads.

1. Due to daily complaints, we are going to block dealers who persist in using the photo ads without registering ads as dealers.
2. We put in many new "enhancements" to make it harder to keep putting frauds in. Now when you report a fraud, the email address associated with it, will no longer work on YT (though they get tricky to work around that). The ad may still appear until you report it, but you won't be able to contact them. This email block applies to both fraudulent responses and scam sellers. Keep reporting those frauds, it helps.
3. Having a YT username, with your correct email address on it and having regularly posted on the forums, will help you to get around some of the false positives that always occur when we put things in to stop the frauds and spam. When responding to an ad, be sure to use the email address you are registered with, or change your address in your forum profile to match what you use.
4. You can no longer send the same response to an ad more than once. If you do, it appears to the program just like spam/scam bulk mailings.
5. Addresses from free email sites constitute the bulk of frauds and scams worldwide. Our safe mail will look more harshly at a free email address than a real address. The FBI recommends we all do that same thing when evaluating whether an email is valid or not. Again, if you are registered with such an address and participate regularly in the forums, this should not be an issue.

The error messages given back from photo ads are intentionally obscure. Talk to me and I'll explain what they mean if you hit one. There are very likely errors in this new protection and if you let me know what happens to you, I can fix these.

As of today, the above will also apply to text classifieds and forum emails on classic view.
