Well, I don’t know. Which is worse, the Swine Flu bug or the Tractor bug. With the Swine Flu doctors can give you something to kill the bug and cure the ailment. But who is there to help us when we get bit with the Tractor bug (except for the wife, but I don’t have one)? I am out there with no defenses when I drive by that polished up vixen with a for sale sign or that old neglected, over grown with weeds, beauty begging to be fueled up again and be of use.

I saw this sweet thing about two months ago when I was looking for someone to do sandblasting on my ‘64 lite industrial diesel. We are negotiating a purchase on both tractor and sandblaster..

1) The tractor: a 1962 lite industrial, PS, gas, 4spd.with pto and hyd. I don’t know engine size.
It has a 19-202 Ford loader and a box scraper. Some dints and dings in the fenders and a hole in the grill for the loader pump. It runs but has a problem. It runs rough. The owner has put forth several causes, blown head gasket, bad carburetor gasket, and today a bent valve head from using a screwdriver to find tdc. We haven’t talked price yet.
Soooooo what do you all think.

2) The compressor hasn’t run for two years. Again a blown head gasket??? It has a JD 4.5 liter diesel. 1598 hrs. Here’s the other info I found:
Engine serial# 4045778194
404 5 DE 150
R115061 D 4045
The unit is made in Franklin Indiana.

Thanks, Foster
