Desert Sunset was used on 30 series and Desert sand was for use on early 70 series. Most haven't heard of Desert Sand. I have a original spray can of it and it says only for use on 70 series on the cap. I think originally it was also a different chemistry than the old Desert Sunset in hopes that it would hold up better.
