When driving in road gear the whole tractor vibrates, I think it only does this in 4th gear, 3rd ps. I read that it could be a bad bearing in the power shift, is this correct?? What would be a rough estimate for parts? The tractor has around 5,800 hours on it, what else should be replaced if the tractor would need to be split to work on the power shift? Thanks |

I had a 2290 in the shop a couple years ago. Find that the 3 button bearing on the c2/c3 drum were gone. Replace them and vibration went away. It could be the bearing in the oil distributor. Does it do this if you shift the power shift to #3 while sitting still at a high rpm.

Are you sure it isn't the tires? Some tires are awful on the road.. Count the number of lugs on your tires, then try isolate the frequency the vibration is at.
I would think a PS vibration in 4/3 would show in 3/3 too. |

The tires don't have much tread left on them. I will drive it some more in different gears on the road tomorrow, and try shifting just to power shift. Thanks guys. |

my 1070 does that at 1st when it has been settingg a while ,it has 23.1x30tires ,chek the air in the tires , combines are bad at vibration that tooo ,.. could be just the nature of the beast ,, and it could be a bearing also ,.if the tranny level is low or full of milky fluid .and has a bad history of being rode hard and put up wet by a fella whose motto is NEVER MIND THE MULES! JUST LOAD THE WAGON! but i !think everyone will admit to a little rattle vibration |
