[Adirondack case guy]

I backed the 511B and 400B back into my new woodshed tonight. I noticed a difference in the nose weights. The ones on the 411 had 6 holes in them,- casting #A20338 and Old Abe was upside down on the 411-H, sn#60232200, The 511B sn#6097184 had only 4 holes in it's nose weights. casting #C-1183, and Old Abe is wright side up.
Question is---waat are the narrow holes in the weights on the 411 for, and what does the "H" signify in the sn. tag on the 411.

I'm going to make a guess at both.The narrow holes are for mounting on 7-830 narrow set of holes? Does the H mean it has high speed road gears?

I don't know what the H stands for. Our 511, 430, and 300 triple range tractors will leave it and my 440 dual range, in the dust.

Loran,"back'en the day. Homecomming parade in 69. The shiney new 4020 was getting all the attention!!! till after the parade! I unhooked the FFA wagon. Told dave bayor " hey I'll race ya to the grade school" (just over ah mile) he looked over at my little 530 and said "really"! I said yup bring it! Well off we went... 4020 took off didn't look good the 1st 1/4 but once I gott'er from direct into high range I sucked-up that 4020 and blew his a** away!!! Talk at the dance was. Dida see that little case blow-past that john deere!!! Man I was proud of that ole girl.

H on the serial plate stands for high speed gearing option.
An L signifies low speed option.
Can't say on the weights.
