My newly puchased 46 2N has an oil leak(well) one bad seems to be leaking from a seal around the govenor. You think a sealant like Right stuff would work? And my three point hitch works fine till i hook up my finish mower.
I can lift a brush hog, and trailers, but the lift gives me fits when i use the finish mower. Seems to go up when traveling over bumpy ground.
I am glad i found this site to you guy's are awsome.

The governor is leaking because someone previously has over torqued the bolts holding it on. The housing is aluminum and is easily warped. 3M gasket maker/RTV/silicone glue will fix it without any lapping or double gaskets etc. Just leave the gasket off completely and dry the surfaces of oil and put a bead of glue all the way around it and put it back on. That will fix the leak.

To fix the problem with the lift not holding it's position or height I have just the thing to fix that. Over 600 units sold. Ask here about it here and click on the link on this page to find out how to order etc.
