You don't describe the problem you are having.
I've never had to rebuild or replace the pump in my 9N.

If'n I do look at it, (pump), it would probably take me about 30 days worth of work to make the money, first!

Justin.......would it surprize you to learn that you don't haffta split yer tractor to replace or repair yer hydraulic pump??? Would it surprize you to learn yer nice-to-have Sherman has 'nuttin' to do with yer hydraulic pump???

Yes, you do haffta drain 5-gals of hydro-tranny oil. Yes, you do haffta remove yer PTO shaft to drop the hydraulic pump. Full repair kit $200. Replacement hydro-tranny pump $600. Yer Call.

Recommend you squander $25 (cheap) for the I&T FO-4 maintenance manual. It even has pictures for the reading challenged........respectfully, Dell

Justin,
Starting with the scary part, a complete overhaul kit is $380. The good news is, nearly all problems are cheaper than that. Also, nearly all lift problems do not require removing the pump. As John said, there is rarely a reason to REPLACE the pump short of getting ice in there and cracking something.
Removing the pump is a 4 hour job with a coffee break while the oil drains. Then remove the PTO shaft and dipstick inspection cover. Disconnect the control rods from the control valve. Remove mounting bolts from base of pump.
The Sherman won't affect things. It's on the front end of the transmission. HTH
