Well my bad day actually started yesterday. we had some light snow last night state called me to go plow at 6.30pm.that was fine figured I would be home about midnight. Well I was wrong. About 10.30pm truck died in the middle of the road. So I laid down under in the snow and slush change fuel filter (keep one behind the seat).Got truck running again finish plowing. Got home at 7:30 am just get done fuelling truck go to park blew a brake can.So back under dripping cold truck (at least I was home in yard) So I go in shop to open for the day and notice something is not right so I go in showroom and 17 chain saws were stolen overnight and some cash. Called cops they came did what they do and said we will be in touch. I am seeing red right now I HATE THIEVES!!!!. Sorry for the rant and bad punctuation just needed to vent thanks.

Thieves are often pretty stupid, hopefully that works in your favor.

Local farm store was robbed a few years ago, took a lot of tools including new Stihl chainsaws, well a week or so later ads show up on Craigslist with pics of Stihl chainsaws that still have the tags from the store they were stolen from!

Good luck!

You plowed the snow and made it easier for them.

Sorry,I know this isn't the time to joke but it was just too easy.

they took bunch of stihls and few husky's we sell both. on the bright side they didn't steal any new tractors. And rrlund our depot does plow the road past our dealership. sometimes I plow our road with my truck but not last night. But what if I was maybe could have caught them.

I agree mab570 no jail time just cut off fingers. the more offenses the more limbs you lose. I bet that would slow down some thefts. maybe it could be used in other crimes.

With the stihls you should be able to put up notices on Craigslist and pawn shops around with the serial numbers on them. Or try something with stihl themselves in case they would try and register the saws

I was thinking of cutting some other hardware off of 'em. Then they won't be able to make more little thieves! Shocked

Let us know when they catch them. I'd like to see the hanging.

Well I hope you are out of the woods for a while. Either one of those issues would have been enough but both of them????
Don't know if you would have room in your truck for it but something I have found works well is a chunk of blue foam insulation. It keeps you out of the wet better than cardboard and its kinda warm. Lets hope you can stay out from under trucks for a while.
Like your handle BTW
